Oh woe is me, Patrick! Poor pitiful you, laying on a bed in your own filth for month after month, eating junk food with little to no nutritional value ( but wait, let me guess: the sour cream and onion chips you were calling a 'high protein afternoon snack' were really ok for you to eat because they have cream in them - so there's your dairy - and onion - vegetables, right?)

Genetics can and does play a role in how fast or slow a person's metabolism is and therefore can effect weight loss and gain, but dude....I don't see many people who stick to a 2000 or less calories per day diet end up weighing over half a ton, and I find it interesting that when you were put on a strict 1200 calories a day diet the fat literally melted off you. Be accountable for your actions, admit to yourself and the world that you overeat and got yourself into your current predicament and quit whining.

Nobody forced food down your gullet, you did that all on your own. It sickens me that my tax dollar is going to pay for your surgeries and therapies, it really does.

Oh, and one more thing: do you REALLY think anyone's buying your excuse that you drink carbonated beverages because water 'don't stay down well'? Please....if you knew anything about anatomy, particularly post-baritatric surgery anatomy, you'd understand just how pathetic and transparent that statement really is.

P.S. Why does your wife sweat so darn much? That's just not natural, dude.

I would like to say to you patrick that I personally think that you are an extremely rude person, I saw a documentary on you when they had to knock your wall down to get you out of the house and they way you spoke to those emts who were there to save your life was appalling, I woulda left your fatass there if you talked to me like that, secondly, your so fast to blame everyone and everything else for your condition but yourself, you said if it wasnt for the insurance company your weight wouldnt have gotten so bad...come on dude be real, the insurance company didnt make you eat that entire birthdaycake covered in pepperoni or lay there and not move for years, and if its not a problem of a fat guy or gal like you said and its genetics how come you lost 600 lbs. fast when you were on a 1200 calorie diet and how come despite your tremendous 1200 lb girth you were malnourished, thats because everything you were eating didnt have nutrional value...is that because of genetics or because you chose to do that you tell me... dont complain anymore because I would love to lay in bed and eat bon bons and watch tv all day but I cant I have to work so half my check could go to supporting your fatass because I know you dont make money for yourself

dfjkafjda! I used to eat granola all the time until I found out how calorically dense it is. Orange sodas are occasionally appealing, but I'm not really a sugar person. I'm a deep fried person lol! Which is probably much worse. Great list, though. I always tell my friends they can shave 110 cals off their Starbucks drinks just by saying "no whip" but no one ever listens :)

What an amazing list. I've only had 2 things...the Pei-Wei Orange Beef and, ironically, for the first time in my life, I had the Starbucks Strawberry & Creme Frap YESTERDAY! I should have read this a couple days ago.

I agree about #1.

Thanks.

It is great you are trying to become healthy. Though genetics can be a factor, no matter what if you eat a certain amount of food your body will take in the calories and turn what you dont need into fat, people should not blame everything on genetics, obviously you are getting better through a better lifestyle meaning it isnt genetics.
